Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre is in Ankara.
Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre and the accompanying delegation are making contacts in Ankara, where they went as invited guests. According to the written statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, Speaker Töre's delegation includes Parliamentary Administrative Supervisor MP Yasemi Öztürk, Member of the Presidency Council, Deputy Hasan Kucuk and Members of Parliament Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, Ahmet Savaşan and Emrah Yesilirmak is taking place.
Töre and his delegation first visited the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, at Anıtkabir, laid a wreath and stood in silence. The delegation then went to the Misak-ı Milli tower, where Töre signed the special book of Anıtkabir.
Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre, wrote the following in the special book of the monument:
“Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, I would like to express my honor to be in your spiritual presence as the Speaker of the Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the scope of my visit to Ankara. The Turkish Cypriot people are grateful to feel the presence and support of the Motherland Republic of Turkey, your cherished memory, by their side under all circumstances. The fact that Motherland Turkey is a strong state gives us great confidence. The Cyprus issue is the national issue of the Turkish nation. We will never step back in the execution and defense of our national cause. I would like to state in your presence that the national identity of the Turkish Cypriot people is identified with the phrase “Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene!”. It is the character of the Turkish Cypriot people to protect and preserve the existence and independence of our state. I respectfully commemorate you, your comrades-in-arms and all our martyrs.
May your beloved soul rest in peace.”
VISIT TO THE EMBASSY IN ANKARA
Zorlu Töre and the accompanying delegation then visited the Embassy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Ankara. President Töre was welcomed by the Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu and other officials of the embassy and was informed about the work of the embassy.
Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre, Töre will take part in an event organized by Ankara Çubuk Municipality and will make some contacts. Töre and his delegation are expected to return to the country on Saturday.
